A Complete Guide to the Alyce and Vidyard Integration

Our integration with Vidyard allows sales reps and marketers to record and attach personal videos to landing pages and custom thumbnails directly to the emails within an Alyce gifting campaign.

Please note: This integration requires the Enterprise version of Vidyard. Click here for more information from the team at Vidyard.

There are two options for using Alyce and Vidyard.

Campaign-based Gifting Video: one default video for all gifts sent from this campaign
Individual Gift-Based Video: one personal video added on a per-gift basis

Adding a Vidyard video to a Campaign

Adding a default video to a campaign standardizes the video experience for all of your gift recipients. Connecting Vidyard to Alyce starts with configuring the settings of a gifting campaign.

To begin, navigate to your name and avatar, then click on the "v" to open the menu. From the menu select "Campaign Settings."
Use the search bar to find the campaign you want to use with Vidyard and click on the campaign name to begin editing.

In "Settings & Permissions," navigate the list of "General" settings until you find "Video Landing Page." Click "Change."
Once in the Video Landing Page settings, select "Add or Record Vidyard Video."

After activating "Add or Record Vidyard Video," the next step is to connect your Vidyard Enterprise account to Alyce. To connect, click "Launch Vidyard.

Use your Vidyard login credentials to connect your Vidyard Enterprise account.

Once you have logged in, you will need to authorize Alyce's access to your Vidyard account. Select "Authorize" to proceed with adding a video to your gift.

Note: Users only have to take these steps the first time, or if they sign out.

After Alyce has been authorized, videos can be selected in one of two ways:

1. Select a prerecorded video from your Video Library

2. Record a new video directly through the Alyce and Vidyard integration.

Once your video has been selected, a thumbnail of the video will appear. Select "Save" and your Vidyard video is now attached to any gift that is sent from this campaign.

Adding a personal Vidyard Video on a per-gift basis

Please note: Before you begin, your campaign admin needs to allow Vidyard videos on a per-gift basis. They can do so by navigating to the campaign settings and allow Team Members to add their own video or change the default landing page video on a per gift basis:

In the Alyce Dashboard, navigate to the upper righthand corner, click the yellow "🎁 Send a Gift”

Use the open text field under “Who are you sending this invite to?” to enter the name of the person to whom you’d like to send a gift.

If you don’t already have your contact saved in Alyce, click “Create New Contact” and add the following information:

First Name
Last Name
Work Email Address
Name of their Company
Verify their Country

Please note: At this time, Alyce is only able to send gifts to contacts located in the United States and Canada

Once your contact is added, the next step is to select the Campaign - or purpose - of your gifting occasion. (This will be the same campaign that your admin allowed Team Members to add their own video)

As soon as your Campaign is selected, Alyce will start gathering information on the contact you've selected.

Once the research has been completed, select a recommended gift, or select another gift or donation from the marketplace. (For tips on selecting a gift, check out this blog post.)

After a gift has been selected, proceed to select a "Gift Invitation Type." If you choose an Email Invitation, a video thumbnail will be embedded in the body of your message.

After a Gift Invitation type has been selected, the next step is to compose the subject line and message of the invitation. For tips and tricks on writing a subject line, go here and for tips on writing a message, go here.

The next step is to add a video to your Personal Gift. To add a Vidyard video, select "Add or record Vidyard video.

Select "Launch Vidyard," and use your Vidyard login credentials to connect your Vidyard Enterprise account.

Please note: If you're set up correctly and you're having trouble loading the Vidyard app in Alyce it may blocked by 3rd party extensions. You can temporarily disable extensions to load Vidyard.

Once you have logged in, you will need to authorize Alyce's access to your Vidyard account. Select "Authorize" to proceed with adding a video to your gift.

Note: Users only have to take these steps the first time, or if they sign out.

After Alyce has been authorized, videos can be selected in one of two ways:

1. Select a prerecorded video from your Video Library, or
2. Record a new video directly through the Alyce and Vidyard integration.

Once your video has been selected, a thumbnail of the video will appear. Select "Set Video and continue" and your Vidyard video is now attached to any gift that is sent from this campaign.

Your gift recipients will see your video when they redeem their gift

Why is my video not showing?

A recipient may see the above message if:

Your recorded video has not been selected as an embeddable video in your Vidyard account
Your selected video has been whitelisted by someone in your Vidyard account
